QCP Honors John Bowne HS – Most Spirited Cheer Group

Students from John Bowne High School in Flushing received a rousing welcome at Queens Centers for Progress (QCP)  when they visited on Friday, January 10, at 12:30PM, at the QCP Adult Center at 81-15 164 Street in Jamaica.

The enthusiastic high school students won the “Most Spirited High School” award for their support at the NYC Marathon Team QCP “Cheer Station.” With banners, balloons, and noisemakers, twenty students cheered on the thirteen Team QCP runners as they made their way through Queens.

On January 10, those twenty students will met and greeted the people QCP serves, and toured the Adult Center at 81-15 164th Street in Jamaica. They received certificates of appreciation – not to mention plenty of pizza.

QCP will also be holding its annual Footsteps for Progress 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, March 28, and hopes are high that the spirited students will bring their unbounded energy to that event as well.
