Melvin, Kelly, Laura, Juan (Staff), Pastor Litchfield Howard, Leroy and Daniel posed for a photo at the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists food pantry right before the truck came to stock their Food Pantry. QCP's eager volunteers who attend the Community Pre-Vocational Program enthusiastically helped unload and store the food for the next day's distribution to the community members in need. Opportunities like these not only help meet vital community needs but also allow our participants to learn valuable work skills and habits, preparing them to find and maintain meaningful community employment. We are grateful to the NEC Food Pantry for welcoming us and giving our participants the chance to make a difference while growing in their vocational journeys! #communityprevocationalservices #QueensCP #volunteerism #QCPStrong

QCP's Apple Tree Nursery School’s free Pre-K for All program for four-year olds and our free 3-K program for three-year-olds are run in collaboration with the New York City Department of Education. These programs prepare children for school, by giving them early experiences in a classroom setting with structured activities. Our Pre-K for All program also provides for interaction between children who are disabled and those who are typically developing children. The benefits for such inclusionary experiences for children with disabilities have been well documented. In addition, children who are typically developing get a chance early in life to interact with those who have disabilities and will grow from the experience. #QueensCentersForProgress
