THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
What a truly magical, Broadway-themed evening we shared on Tuesday at Terrace on the Park! As we celebrated Queens Centers for Progress’s Annual Gala, we were overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of LOVE, GENEROSITY, and COMMUNITY SPIRIT that filled the room.
Your presence and support ensure that we can continue pioneering inclusive education, providing vital vocational training, and offering residential services and innovative therapies that empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live with independence and dignity.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to this year’s distinguished honorees, whose professional excellence and profound civic leadership mirror the very heart of QCP’s mission:
-
- Runi Mehta, Managing Director and Market Executive at Flagstar Bank, for her inspiring leadership and tireless dedication to philanthropic and civic causes across New York City.
- Jason I. Miller, Partner at Otterbourg P.C., for his outstanding professional achievements and his deeply impactful advocacy for pro bono and charitable initiatives.
We are also profoundly grateful for the breathtaking generosity witnessed at the gala:
-
- Queens Borough President Donovan Richards stunned us all with a monumental $500,000 commitment to our mission.
- NYC Council Members James F. Gennaro and Linda Lee came forward with a deeply impactful $300,000 commitment.
Thanks to our amazing sponsors – including our Gala Underwriters: Flagstar Bank, Otterbourg P.C., and Valley Bank; Benefactor: Rosenthal Capital Group; Patron: Tarek M. Zeid, P.E. Consulting Engineer; Sponsor: Daybright/Long Island Employee Benefits Group; Friends of QCP: CIT/First Citizens Bank, Gerald J. Caliendo Architect, IDB Bank, Milberg Factors, Inc., Ray-Block Stationery, TotalCareRX and Wells Fargo Advisors – and our wonderful guests, we raised an additional $90,000 to directly fund our programs – which included the $15,000 raised that evening. AMAZING!
One of the most touching highlights of the evening was undoubtedly the standing ovation captured for our very own QCP Players Theater Group. Seeing their radiant talents and creativity on display during their sneak peek of Annie Kids reminded us all exactly why we gather, why we advocate, and why this work matters so deeply.
As our Executive Director Terri Ross shared, this evening brought together the very best of Queens to celebrate a legacy of service, leadership, and hope.
Whether you joined us as a guest, supported us as a corporate sponsor, stood by us as an honoree, or cheered us on from afar, you are the reason thousands of children and adults find opportunity and community through QCP. Thank you for walking alongside us for 76 years, and for helping us write the next beautiful chapter.
