Footsteps for Progress 5K a Resounding Success for QCP!

On Saturday, April 29th QCP staff, families, program participants, avid runners and Queens Borough President, Donovan Richards, took Kissena Park by storm … literally! Despite the cold, windy, and rainy weather, over 100 dedicated individuals showed up to RUN, WALK or ROLL 3.1 miles in support of QCP and – thanks to our generous food sponsors – were treated to hot coffee, hot cocoa, and an array of delicious treats including bagels, chips, donuts, fruit and fresh-baked goods!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE involved in making our annual Footsteps for Progress 5K a success. Without the SUPPORT and DEDICATION of QCP staff members, volunteers and event sponsors – whose ongoing help with our fundraising events (whether it is monetary, time or services) does not go unnoticed. They are the driving force that helps make our events enjoyable (despite what Mother Nature throws at us) and a resounding success each year – THANK YOU!

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised over $35,000 in support of our programs … AMAZING!!
