Queens Centers for Progress welcomed a team of dedicated volunteers from The Home Depot to our Bellerose location, where they rolled up their sleeves to revitalize the Giving Garden—a space that provides therapeutic and recreational gardening opportunities for adults in QCP’s programs.
The Home Depot volunteers worked diligently to prepare the garden beds for the upcoming planting season, cleaning out debris, reinforcing wooden structures, and making much-needed repairs to the shed. Their efforts will help ensure that the garden remains a flourishing and accessible environment for QCP’s participants, many of whom take great pride in nurturing the plants and watching them grow.
Adding to this initiative, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Hopewell Stinchcomb / Bell Nurseries, and Bonnie Plants also provided essential gardening supplies, including nutrient rich soil, fertilizers, and a variety of plants. Their contributions will help the garden flourish, giving QCP participants the opportunity to cultivate fresh produce and flowers while learning valuable skills.
QCP is grateful for the ongoing support of community partners like The Home Depot, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Hopewell Stinchcomb / Bell Nurseries, and Bonnie Plants, whose contributions help make a meaningful impact on the lives of people with developmental disabilities.
