QCP Participant Wins First Runner-Up In Statewide Visions Of NY Art Contest

Sau Vei Ling, a program participant at Queens Centers for Progress, was named first runner-up in the 2018 statewide “Visions Of New York” art contest. Cerebral Palsy Associations of NYS (CP of NYS) sponsors the annual event which highlights artwork created by people with disabilities from CP of NYS Affiliates. This it the fifteenth year of the contest. Congratulations, Sau!

This year’s CP Associations of NYS First Runner-up winning artwork, “Flowers of Hope in Diversity Vase,” was created using recycled materials, card stock and paint.

About The Artist

Sau Vei Ling is a 70-year old participant in QCP’s Community Connection Center. She is an avid photographer and artist. Sau Vei’s primary language is Cantonese, but this has not stopped her from using art as a medium of communication.
