QCP AT CHINESE-AMERICAN GROUP SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED

QCP participated on April 26, 2019 in a forum of agencies to discuss the needs of parents who have developmentally disabled children. Cindy Li represented QCP at the event organized by the Alliance for Families with Developmental Needs (AFDN, afdnfamily.weebly.com) and the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPCNY, cpc-nyc.org). NYC Councilperson, Peter Koo (District 20), was on hand to support the event. Chinese-American families shared information, and learned about supports and services that agencies like QCP can provide. The AFDN, founded in 2016, connects more than 400 parents and families, and the CPCNY, founded in 1965, works primarily with Chinese-American, immigrant and low-income communities. All participating agencies received a certificate of appreciation at the event.
