Mukti Petroleum Management, Inc. Presents Donation to QCP Following Successful “Giving Pump” Fundraiser

Queens Centers for Progress (QCP) is excited to announce that Charanjit (Channi) Singh, owner of Mukti Petroleum Management, Inc., proudly presented a generous donation to QCP at their Children’s Center’s Apple Preschool on Wednesday, October 16th. This event marked the culmination of the successful “Giving Pump” fundraiser, a community-driven initiative that ran for several months with incredible support from Mr. Singh, his business, and local residents.

As a family-owned business with a commitment to quality service, Mukti Petroleum Management, Inc. operates twenty-seven gas stations throughout the greater NYC area, offering customers a reliable experience and helping fuel local communities. Mr. Singh pledged to donate one penny per gallon of gas sold from one specially branded pump at his Exxon gas station at 178-02 Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows, NY. Thanks to Triboro Printing, which expertly wrapped the pumps with QCP’s logo and artwork, these pumps became a visible reminder of the community’s support for children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The collaborative effort between Mr. Singh, and his loyal customers made the fundraiser a resounding success.

Together with his wife, Sandeep Kaur, Mr. Singh was presented with special thank you cards made by the children in the program, followed by a tour of the school. The couple were impressed by the work the school does for children with disabilities and were especially touched by the warm welcome they received from the children and staff.

Reflecting on the initiative, Mr. Singh shared, “Giving back to the community is vital, especially through trusted organizations like QCP. It’s our honor to support causes like this, and we hope it inspires others to do the same. Our commitment to helping our community will continue, and we look forward to future opportunities to give back.”

Terri Ross, Executive Director of QCP, emphasized the broader significance of the event, stating, “Today’s visit goes beyond receiving this generous check, and is a celebration of community spirit, the generosity of local businesses, and the powerful impact that partnerships can create. The funds raised through the ‘Giving Pump’ campaign will go directly toward supporting QCP’s essential programs, ensuring that individuals with developmental disabilities receive the resources and care they need.”

QCP extends their heartfelt thanks to Mukti Petroleum Management, Inc. for their steadfast commitment to us, and others in the community. Together, we are fueling positive change, one gallon at a time!
