Beautiful things are growing at QCP’s Bellerose campus. Through the joint efforts of QCP, The Home Depot Foundation, Team Depot and the NY Restoration Project, QCP will soon have its first “Giving Garden.” The half-acre plot at Bellerose will deliver a year-long bounty of home-grown vegetables, and be a space to relax and enjoy the flowers and decorative planting. QCP program participants will have the opportunity, not only to sample the produce, but to grow and cultivate it as well. Health eating, healthy outdoor activity – all good things. The build-out of the Giving Garden will take place in early May. To celebrate the opening of the Giving Garden, QCP will host a fundraising evening at Vetro in Howard Beach, on May 10 at 6:30PM.
