QCP was delighted to host representatives of the Columbiettes, the Knights of Columbus’ Women’s group from American Martyrs Roman Catholic Church last month. Introduced by Board Member, Margaret MacPherson, and her husband, Ken MacPherson, the visiting party comprised of Margaret Reyes, Valerie Day, Anne Caruso, and Lillian Santos came to gain insights into the effective programs and services that QCP offers. During their visit, they toured QCP’s facilities, where they had the opportunity to observe the various programs in action. The tour highlighted QCP’s commitment to providing high-quality services that support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals. Programs showcased included the QCP Children’s Center, where children are nurtured and encouraged to reach their full potential in a supportive environment, and the Adult Day Habilitation Program, which focuses on developing life skills and promoting community integration.
“We were thrilled to share our work and mission with our esteemed guests from American Martyrs,” said Wendy Phaff-Gennaro, Director of Development at QCP. “Their interest in learning about our services and program management emphasizes the vital role of community collaboration in enhancing the lives of the people we serve.” The visit concluded with Treasurer Valerie Day, who expressed her admiration for QCP’s impactful work and presented the organization with a check for funds collected through selling Palm Crosses during Easter. It was during their board meeting that QCP was lucky enough to have been chosen to receive the funds raised.
We look forward to future opportunities with American Martyrs and other community organizations dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
