Family Reimbursement is the service that provides financial assistance to those with OPWDD eligibility who require help with meeting some financial challenges associated with caring for a family member with a developmental disability. Financial reimbursement is provided for a variety of items and services including but not limited to recreational activities, respite, non- covered medical supplies, adaptive equipment, etc.
The completed OPWDD Family Reimbursement Application is submitted with receipts (original, photocopies or web receipts) and the current Life Plan. Some requests will require clinical justification and require the Care Manager to include specific documentation within the Life Plan.

- Non-Medicaid Clinical Evaluations to apply for OPWDD
eligibility. - Non-Medicaid Case Management to apply for Medicaid once
OPWDD eligibility is received.
