QCP’s Evening of Fine Food was a Success!

We are filled with gratitude to have had such wonderful Chefs of the Year (Hersh K. Parekh, Deputy Chief of Intergovernmental Affairs, Port Authority of New York & New Jersey; and Frank J. Quatela, Owner & Principal Architect, Frank J. Quatela Architect, P.C.), a dedicated and determined “Claire Shulman Spirit of Community” Award recipient (Lara Gregory, Queens Community Leader, QCP Board Member and Principal Attorney, Lara Gregory and Associates), and generous sponsors and committee members who made Evening of Fine Food possible. Due to your generosity, Queens Centers for Progress netted more than $140,000!

To our guests – all 500 plus of you- we are so grateful you could celebrate and make a meaningful impact with us. To all of our participating restaurants and vendors, thank you for your generosity of supplying delicious food, desserts, and drinks to our guests – your delicacies were enjoyed by all in attendance!

Many thanks to QCP’s special guests: Queens Foodie – Rick Bedrosian; Rev. Father James O’Shea for administering his invocation, Greg Mocker for his fabulous role of Emceeing our awards presentation; QPTV and Roslyn Nieves for their guest interviews and coverage of the event, and our local elected official, Council Member James Gennaro.

We thank you for playing an imperative part in this important fund-raiser. It is through your concern and support that we are able to improve the lives of 1,200 individuals on a daily basis at our centers promote independence, and provide them with the resources they need to make the most of their talents, abilities and interests, which allow them to LIVE THEIR BEST LIVES … THANK YOU!
