QCP's Community Pre-Voc stops for a photo at one of their volunteer sites. The program focuses on work skills training and support services that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities be better prepared for competitively paid employment in the community. At our core, we believe in the transformative power of community integration where participants not only learn but actively engage in volunteer opportunities that mirror the responsibilities and expectations of the workplace. Under the guidance of our trained and supportive staff and community partners, we ensure a safe and controlled environment for effective skill development. To learn more, visit our website: www.queenscp.org or call us at 718-380-3000 and ask for the Supported Work Department. #MoreThanWork #QCPStrong #SupportQCP #QueensCP

Gisette works at Costco through the Supported Employment Program. Maggie is her Job Coach who visits with her to ensure she is accomplishing all of her tasks. A QCP Job Coach works with the person on the job site until the employer is satisfied with all aspects of the placement. After the initial adjustment to the job, WorkSource Job Coaches continue to visit the site to ensure that both the person placed and the employer are satisfied. #MoreThanWork #SupportQCP #QueensCP #QCPStrong
