Annual Gala Kicks off QCP’s 65th Year Celebration

Annual Gala on June 24 Helps Kick off QCP’s 65th Year Celebration

Preparations are underway for Queens Centers for Progress’ Annual Gala, which is taking place at Terrace on the Park in Queens on Tuesday, June 24 at 7 pm. The Dinner Gala is taking on a 1950s theme and salutes individuals who have made positive contributions to the community. This year’s QCP Gala Honorees are Kam Wang, President & CEO of TheMunicipal Credit Union, who is being recognized as Man of the Year; Michael Landi, President , Transit Managerial Benevolent Association as Humanitarian of the Year; and Hon. Melinda Katz, Queens Borough President , who is receiving the Governmental Leadership Award.

QCP Executive Director, Charlie Houston, commented, “This year’s Gala will also help QCP kick off our 65th year anniversary celebration. This is the perfect setting to launch this milestone event as we will be with QCP supporters and friends.”

QCP is looking forward to hosting a splendid evening that will include a night of fine dining and events such as a silent auction. All proceeds from the Gala will go towards QCP’s programs that help children and adults lead more independent lives.
