The Intersection of Goethals Avenue and 164th Street Was Co-Named "Natalie Rogers Way" to Pay Homage to the Queens Centers for Progress (QCP) Founder & Community Advocate. Council Member James F. Gennaro and Queens Centers for Progress (QCP) hosted a street co-naming ceremony honoring the life and legacy of QCP founder Natalie Rogers. Gennaro was joined by State Sen. John Liu, Assembly Member David Weprin, Assembly Member Sam Berger, Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter; and members of the Rogers family at the street co-naming ceremony in which the intersection of Goethals Avenue and 164th Street was co-named "Natalie Rogers Way" after the community advocate. Council Member Gennaro authored the City Council bill to co-name the street in her honor.
