On Friday, June 27, over 400 lucky golden ticket holders witnessed something absolutely extraordinary—the debut of Willy Wonka Kids by The QCP Players Theater Program, a groundbreaking new initiative that’s turning dreams into reality! More than 100 talented individuals from QCP’s Day Habilitation program dove headfirst into Roald Dahl’s whimsical world, bringing pure imagination to life both on stage and behind the scenes. From show-stopping performances to stunning set design, from colorful costumes to friendly ushering, every sparkling detail was crafted with heart, passion, and incredible pride by our amazing QCP participants.
This 12-week theatrical adventure was made possible through an inspiring partnership with AhHa!Broadway, a nonprofit dedicated to inclusive performing arts. With guidance from professional Teaching Artists and a full design team, our performers discovered the transformative magic of theater—building confidence, developing new skills, and experiencing the pure joy of creative expression. The result? A production that proves when creativity meets community, absolutely anything is possible!
