Thanks to our on-going partnership with the St. John’s University Track & Field and Cross Country, our annual program officially kicked-off last week on Wednesday, September 27th and will commence in six weeks when our participants will participate in a 1-mile race around St. John’s University’s track. Each year, QCP individuals have the opportunity to benefit from the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, while bolstering their self-esteem, and personal achievement.

For the second year in a “row”, Queens Centers for Progress partnered with Row New York and took part in an 8-week Adaptive Rowing Program. Participants met weekly and learned how to strengthen their upper bodies and properly maneuver the boats out on the lake at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
