Hundreds of guests enjoyed an evening of fun, music, and networking at QCP’s 66th Annual Gala this summer at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. PIX11 news reporter Lisa Mateo served as the event’s guest emcee, boosting the evening’s celebratory atmosphere.
QCP recognized three outstanding community leaders with distinct awards: Thomas Toscano, chief financial officer and chief legal officer at Mr. T Carting Corp., received the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year Award; Robert McKim, Country Manager at Aramex International, was given the 2016 Distinguished Leadership Award; and Peter J. Morandi, CEO at Eastman Cooke Construction, was honored with the 2016 Business Leadership Award.
“We enjoyed celebrating with friends, as we honored QCP and community members who support our endeavor, as well as exhibit a positive influence within our neighborhood,” said QCP’s Executive Director Charlie Houston.
Funds raised at the Gala go directly to QCP and will help purchase items not covered by government funding.
