QCP Family Association Shares Information &  Honors “QCP Champions” at Annual Meeting

Queens Centers for Progress’ Family Association held its annual meeting on May 3 inside QCP’s auditorium where family members learned the most up-to-date information about residential services, weekend recreation & respite, community habilitation, summer camps, family reimbursement and crisis intervention.

This year’s meeting also marked the First Annual QCP Champion Awards where individuals were recognized for their exceptional progress in various categories, including School Age Success, Day Time Success and Residence. Margaret MacPherson, President of QCP Family Association, was on hand to share state and federal legislative changes that may affect individuals and the services QCP offers.

“Being a member of QCP’s Family Association keeps families well informed and involved in the wonderful programs and services QCP offers to our individuals,” said MacPherson, who is also a member of the Board at QCP.

Membership to the QCP Family Association is always open and family members are encouraged to join. Dues are $25 per year and donations go towards the purchase of equipment, items needed for family members and the annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon.
