164th Street Day Hab Participants Raise Funds for Footsteps for Progress

Throughout April, our 164th Street DayHab Program participants worked hard in fundraising for their team for our annual Footsteps for Progress 5K Run/Walk/Roll. Our individuals hosted a flea market and sold wall hangers. While raising funds they worked on daily day skills such as, money management, socialization, team building and many more. What an amazing job by everyone involved!

QCP Program Participants Workout with SJU Women’s Track & Field Team

Thanks to our on-going partnership with the St. John’s University Women’s Track and Field Team, our TeamQCP Program Participants enjoyed a day of FUN and EXERCISE with the team during their 2023 Community Service Week mid-April. Thanks to the SJU Women’s Track and Field Team and coaches, QCP’s individuals continue to benefit from the spirit of SPORTSMANSHIP and CAMARADERIE, while bolstering their self-esteem, and personal achievement.

“Save our Services” Rally at College of Staten Island

On March 10,. 2023, the College of Staten Island held a “Save our Services” Rally on the grounds of the Willowbrook Mile. The rally was focused on advocating for increased funding for direct support professionals (DSPs) and the investment in the future of our services for people with intellectual disabilities.
