There will be lots of smiling children at the Queens Centers For Progres (QCP) Children’s Center this holiday season, thanks to the efforts of the Queens Distance Runners. The Queens-based running club is sponsoring its sixth annual “5-Mile Run and Toy Drive” on December 16. The event helps to raise funds for QCP and collect toys for the QCP Children’s Center.

The 5-Mile Race starts at 8:30AM, until 11:30AM, and covers a perimeter of Flushing Meadows Park. Participants donating toys should deliver them unwrapped. A portion of the race proceeds will go to support QCP programs.
