Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State PEOPLE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The CP Conference this year centered on "People Making A Difference." Queens Centers for Progress was delighted to celebrate this theme by recognizing three outstanding staff members: Josie Davide, Assistant Director of Day Services at our 164th Street facilities; Maureen Schuh, Senior Habilitation Assistant at our Bellerose Campus; and Dora Fernandez, Related Services Assistant at our Children's Center. Congratulations to all!

Consumer Bernadette McLoughlin from our Bellerose residences was able to attend with direct care worker, Marie Carmel Laurent, thanks to a special stipend awarded.

The conference which was from October 25 to 27th centered around key interest areas of "celebrating abilities" and informational sessions on such topics as Psychopharmacology and Persons with Developmental Disabilities. Everybody had a wonderful time, coming back with a wealth of new information to share.
