Visions of New York
Each week, consumers from Queens Centers for Progress Day Habilitation Program meet to create various pieces of art. Four of those artists, who live in Queens County, created the painting entitled “NYC Bridge Overlook.” They are very excited that their work was chosen as the winner or the 2010 CP of NYS Visions of New York Art Contest. Paul Maki of Flushing has attended QCP for 14 years and enjoys art, crafts, dancing, and music. Maiya Ramdeo of Richmond Hill has attended QCP for 2 years and enjoys painting, jewelry making, and cooking. Denise Ford of Corona has attended QCP for 6 years and enjoys painting, crafts, reading, and writing. Govein Bess of Far Rockaway has attended QCP for 2 years and enjoys painting, dancing, music, and the outdoors. Govein Bess and Paul Maki plan to represent the winners at the CP of NYS Annual Conference in October. All of the staff and participants at QCP congratulate the winners for their achievement.
