THE HOME DEPOT TOURS QCP

On June 16th, fifty people including The Home Depot Senior Executives and Managers, along with many of their vendors, toured Queens Centers for Progress’ facilities in anticipation of the Fifteenth Annual QCP/Home Depot Golf Outing.  The guests toured QCP’s Children’s Center and were treated to a Fashion and Talent Show presented by adult participants in the 164th Street Day Hab Program.

Kevin Scott, Home Depot’s Senior Vice President of Merchandising and this year’s honoree, spoke during the luncheon about how The Home Depot is as committed as ever to helping QCP and acknowledged the agency’s tremendous work with people of all ages with developmental disabilities. Charles Houston, the agency’s Executive Director, explained how this year’s Golf Outing means even more to the agency with the budget cuts on the horizon.  On his fifth visit to QCP, Aaron Flowe, Home Depot’s Regional Vice President, said that touring QCP’s facilities “never gets old” – he was inspired by the incredible work done by the staff and is honored to help QCP in their mission.  Director of Development, Maryann McAleer thanked the attendees for being such caring people and instrumental in ensuring the success of this annual event.

The QCP/Home Depot 15th Annual Golf outing will be held on September 15, 2011 at North Hills Country Club and Wheatley Hills Golf Club.  For information and reservations please call Maryann McAleer at 718-380-3000 Ext. 324 or visit QCP's website at www.queenscp.org.
