Evening of Fine Food Honorees Visit QCP

The icy, rainy morning of January 18, 2011 didn’t keep this year’s Evening of Fine Food honorees from visiting QCP’s programs.  Walter H. Sanchez, Publisher of BQE Media – Queens Ledger – Brooklyn Star and QPTV’s Executive Director/Director of Engineering, Daniel J. Leone, came to QCP to visit the 164th Street Day Program and Children’s Center.

Mr. Leone and Mr. Sanchez were amazed at the incredible work done here at QCP.  They were happy to be able to help us as this year’s Chefs of the Year at the Evening of Fine Food on February 8, 2011.  QCP honors individuals whose dedication to making a difference in the community is exemplary.   As Chefs of the Year they will prepare their favorite dish and wear the honored “Chef of the Year chef hats” as they dish out their specialty to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.

An Evening of Fine Food provides an informal setting for people from the Queens Community to network and socialize as they sample the gourmet delicacies provided by Queens’ restaurants and chefs.  It also proves to be a fun-filled and enjoyable evening!

The Evening of Fine Food is coordinated by Maryann McAleer, Director of Development at QCP.  Please feel free to contact Maryann with any questions you may have, you can reach her at 718-380-3000, Ext. 324 or mmcaleer@queenscp.org.
