The QCP Annual Gala this year was held at Terrace On The Park on May 24, 2011.  QCP was fortunate to honor the following incredible people: 

Michael Lentin, President Citiquiet Windows,

Leslie Barnes, Owner/Operator London Lennies

Ed Charles, Third Baseman of the 1969 Miracle Mets

Michael Lentin received the Man of the Year Award the Annual Marvin Wiener Humanitarian Award, was presented to Ed Charles Third Baseman of 1969 Mets and Les Barnes Owner/ Operator of London Lennies was given the 2011 Distinguished Honoree Award.  The honorees also received Proclamations from the New York State Assembly.

Queens Centers for Progress exists in order to provide services for children and adults in Queens County who have cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.  The purpose of these services is to maximize the range and quality of independent life choices available to the individuals and their families.

It was an extremely uplifting event.  Honorees and guests were on board to help the honorable work done at QCP.
