Children's Center 2011 Disney Carnival
How creative and beautifully executed the 2011 Disney Carnival was at the Children’s Center this year! Upon entering the room the Children's Center students were welcomed by all the fabulous large Disney wall hangings. Then on to the events......
There was so much detail in each of the “booths” to completely correspond to the theme of the activity. The children (and staff) felt as though they were whisked away to a truly magical place! Minnie was floating above the Magic Kingdom, one of the Seven Dwarfs was taking the train to work, fishermen were “finding Nemo.” And Mickey’s Dance Party was one of the favorites, although there were many close seconds, including the use of the Smart Board as Fantasy Land’s select-a-princess video extravaganza! Walt Disney would have been very proud!
Each child was warmly welcomed as they arrived and assigned a “personal tour guide” to make sure they had one-to-one assistance at each activity. Everything was so nicely organized and accessible to all of our students and the music helped to set the mood for the day’s festivities.
Staff made sure that each attendee had the best experience. The warmth and enthusiasm was very present. The children, and the classroom staff, were thrilled to participate in such a special event, and left with many special memories of their visit. It was a truly fantastic and thrilling day!
