Queens
Centers for Progress is funded primarily through
government sources. There are many years,
however, when the level of government funding
does not fully cover the cost of providing
services. In addition, we often need start-up
funding as we add or expand a service in
response to a need.
That is why community support and involvement
is so important. Corporate and foundation grants
and individual contributions have been a source
of support since our inception 50 years ago.
We are grateful to those who have generously
supported us in the past.
You can help continue to make a difference by
contributing a gift of cash, stock, or real
estate – or by volunteering at our QCP
Center. Community support helps to make the
hopes, dreams, and wishes of the people we serve
come true.

Queens Centers for Progress offers you a convenient
way to dispose of your unwanted clothes, toys,
dishes and other used household items and generate
needed funds for our programs for the developmentally
disabled.
Just call (718) 495-3034 Monday through Friday
and a pickup will be made at your home! Clothes
can be left outside so there is no need to wait
at home for the truck. All proceeds generated
will benefit QCP.
(You will receive a tax-deductible receipt.)

To ensure that the vital services highlighted
on this Web Site can continue, we ask that you
consider a living trust or other bequest. Through
such planned giving, it is possible for donors
to meet their individual needs while at the
same time helping a charitable organization
in which they believe.
Many donors find that deferred gifts to QCP
can provide valuable current tax benefits while
at the same time maximizing estate assets passed
on to their heirs. Plans can be designed with
a number of flexible options.
A Charitable Remainder Trust provides various
lifetime benefits:
- Donating
property to a Charitable Remainder Trust removes
it from your estate for estate tax purposes
-
The Charitable Remainder Trust pays no capital
gains tax on the sale of the assets in the
trust, if properly structured
A
bequest enables you to simply name QCP as a
beneficiary in your will. A bequest may consist
of cash, securities, real estate, or all or
a percentage of residuary estate. It may also
consist of a trust set up through your will.
You may use the following format to make such
a gift:
I bequeath to Queens Centers for Progress, a not-for-profit
organization in the state of New York, located
at 81-15 164th St., Jamaica, NY 11432, the sum
of $________ for their general corporate purposes.
QCP recommends that you consult a legal or financial
advisor in preparing a planned gift. Planned
giving is a very important way that QCP receives
funds to support its work. Your gift can truly
make a difference.
To request information about structuring a gift
to QCP, please call (718) 380-3000, Ext. 324.

We have listed a number of items that would
help us in our mission at QCP. We will be gratefully
appreciative of anyone wishing to donate them
– please don’t hesitate to contact
us at (718) 380-3000. Ext.324.
