Our innovative Day Program, located at 249-16
Grand Central Parkway in Bellerose, serves more
than 150 people. We believe that all individuals
regardless of the severity of their
disabilities, can learn.
The Day Program provides a combination of
diagnostic, treatment, and habilitation services
to enable adults with developmental disabilities
achieve maximum independence and
self-determination. The program offers
comprehensive training and skill development in
areas ranging from daily living and self-care to
meal preparation and socialization. We also offer
clinical services, provided by qualified
professionals in almost every area - from behavior
management and physical therapy to medical
services.
Our individuals can choose creative arts, music
therapy, computer training, culinary arts, tennis,
pet therapy, yoga, and therapeutic horseback
riding as part of their program. We offer
community integration and inclusion opportunities
where individuals learn functional skills in a
variety of challenging environments. Individuals
are also given the opportunity to volunteer in the
community.

The
Day Habilitation Program provides training for
individuals who want to learn how to use the
services in their community more independently.
Participants choose from a variety of community
training options: money management, community
safety awareness, mobility training, accessing
health care and personal services, recreation,
and socialization. In addition they learn how
to give back by volunteering in the community.

QCP's Clinic provides social work, rehabilitation
counseling, psychological and nursing care.
Clinical services include diagnostic testing
and evaluation, as well as mental status evaluation,
nutritional counseling and family counseling
and consultation. Other services include occupational
therapy consultation and speech and language
evaluation.
