Queens Centers for Progress has great opportunities for individuals seeking a fulfilling career in human services — whether you have experience, or you are a college student, or new to this industry and want to gain experience — QCP is the place to be.
“We have 38 Direct Support openings in various shifts within the Queens area,” said Michelle Jenkins, Assistant Director of Human Resources at QCP. “Positions are available from 6 a.m. through midnight, so we offer flexible hours. If someone is looking for weekend hours to supplement their income, we can accommodate them, as well.”
Jenkins has worked at QCP for over 22 years. She joins many QCP staff members who surpass the 20-year anniversary mark; and among those who are honored with an award for their 20 years of service.
Jenkins enjoys finding the best position that fits individuals and watch them thrive. QCP recently welcomed Jyotika Thandi to her new position as Habilitation Assistant for the Day Program for the Bellerose Center.
“I have watched Jyotika come in every morning with a smile on her face,” Jenkins said.
Jyotika Thandi commented, “I feel the individuals have captured my heart. This job is very rewarding for me. I enjoy waking up and coming to work. I feel the individuals are so genuine, they have no hidden agendas when they say they like you. I also feel that my co-workers are very supportive, as well as everyone else who works in the Bellerose Center. I truly enjoy my job.”
